Package Description:

Hoffman Construction Company of Washington (“GC/CM”) requests RFQs for the above on behalf of the Owner, Shoreline School District.  Shoreline School District as the Owner has approved Hoffman Construction Company of Washington acting as the General Contractor/Construction Manager (GC/CM) to utilize an alternative subcontractor selection process per RCW 39.10.385 for the work described herein related to the Shoreline Middle Schools Replacement Project.  The Shoreline Middle Schools Replacement project consists of replacement of two middle schools (Einstein and Kellogg Middle Schools) to address population growth and overcrowding in the Shoreline School District. Both Einstein and Kellogg Middle Schools currently house seventh and eighth grade students, and the new middle schools will be designed to add sixth grade students.  Both replacement schools will be approximately 150,000 sf, 2 to 3 stories, and built to house 1,000 to 1,100 students. Construction for both schools is expected to begin in spring 2019 and opening day for the schools will be late August 2020. Due to the lack of available ‘swing space’ in the district, both schools will remain occupied throughout construction except for normal school breaks.
