Hoffman Construction Company, Contractor for King County West Point Treatment Plant GC/CM Services (“Project”) being performed for King County (“Owner”) requests sub-bid proposals for Bid Package #4 – Primary Tank Coating.
A non-mandatory, but strongly encouraged, pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for February 22, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at the King County West Point Treatment Plant GC/CM Services project jobsite. Attendees are to meet at 1400 Discovery Park Blvd., Seattle, WA 98199. Attendees must bring/wear their own compliant helmet and safety glasses, reflective vest, long pants and boots in order to attend the job walk following the pre-bid meeting. All bidders are encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting in order to acquaint themselves with the local conditions under which the work is to be performed and to correlate personal observations with the requirements of the Contract Documents.
Statements made at the pre-bid meeting by representatives of the Contractor, Owner, Architect, Engineers, and/or others are not binding and do not change the RFP documents or bidding requirements unless such statements are confirmed by written Addendum to the RFP.
This project is subject to a Community Workforce Agreement (CWA). A copy of the CWA has been included in the Request for Proposals.
Proposals must utilize the specified PROPOSAL FORM and be submitted as a single file (less than 10MB) to BIDS@hoffmancorp.com, no later than 2:00 p.m., March 7, 2024. There will be a public opening of bids at 2:30 p.m. in the presence of the Owner’s Representative. Questionnaire may be attached as a separate file or submitted separately. Elaborate proposals or the inclusion of non-essential information e.g. marketing/promotional material, safety manuals, etc. is strongly discouraged. Proposals that are materially incomplete, do not include current Questionnaire with latest year-end safety and financial information (unless previously submitted), are directed to other locations or received after the bid deadline will not be considered.
This is a prevailing wage project. Bidders must comply with requirements of the prevailing wage law in RCW Title 39 Public Contracts and Indebtedness and RCW Title 49 Labor Regulations. Workers must be paid not less than the Washington State Prevailing Wage Rates for Public Works Contracts in King County effective date shall be the same as the MACC date of this project (MACC is estimated to be completed in April 2024). A copy of the applicable prevailing wage rates is available for viewing at Contractor’s office and from the following URL: https://secure.lni.wa.gov/wagelookup/.
The County and the Contractor have established Minority Owned Business (MBE) contracting goals of 10% of the total price for al executed Work, and Women Owned Business (WBE) contracting goal of 6% of the total price for all executed Work. “Certified” means certified by the Washington State Office of Minority and Women’s Businesses as an MBE or WBE, or both
