As Student Population Surges, Hoffman Helps a Washington School District Adapt and Thrive
Einstein Middle School Replacements
Building new middle schools on a busy campus, Hoffman implements proven safety and no disruption’ protocols to protect students, staff, and the public.
Hoffman is building a pair of new middle schools for the Shoreline School District. Each new school will be approximately 150,000 square feet and serve around 1,000 students in grades 6-8. Both projects are expected to finish in time for the schools to open in August 2020. The new Einstein Middle School will consist of general classrooms, a gym, various outdoor play areas, a track and field, commercial kitchen, cafeteria, and administrative offices and support spaces. The site improvements will include reconfiguring on-site parking for staff and visitors, bus load/unload zones, bus access and egress, new sidewalks, landscaping, and upgrading existing utility service feeds into the building. The existing Einstein Middle School was built in 1968 and remodeled most recently in 1992. It is approximately 116,000 square feet and serves around 750 students in grades 7 and 8. Both existing schools on campus will remain occupied throughout construction.
