Supporting Regional Wastewater Needs
Liquid and Solid Waste Upgrades
The Central Kitsap Treatment Plant (CKTP) serves much of the central Kitsap Peninsula, treating up to 6 million gallons of wastewater per day. In addition to domestic wastewater, CKTP handles hauled liquid waste, including septage and FOG, and processes solids from other county plants through anaerobic digestion.
Aging equipment, increased waste volumes, and evolving permit requirements have led to capacity and performance challenges, particularly in the solids handling systems. Hoffman is working with Kitsap County to upgrade critical infrastructure, improve reliability and efficiency, and ensure the plant continues to meet regional wastewater treatment needs into the future.
