Hoffman Construction Company, General Contractor/Construction Manager (“GC/CM” or “Contractor”) for Port of Seattle Post IAF Airline Realignment (“Project”) being performed for the Port of Seattle (“Owner”) requests sub-bid proposals for Bid Package #2 – Doors, Frames & Hardware.

 

A non-mandatory, but strongly encouraged, virtual pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for 10:00 AM, January 16, 2024 (via Teams).  Attendees may join the meeting from your computer, tablet or smartphone.  If you have not used the Teams platform previously, it is recommended you allow plenty of time to download the software and log into the meeting.  Bidders can access the link to attend the pre-bid through our website www.hoffmancorp.com/trade-partners.

Statements made at the pre-bid meeting by representatives of the Contractor, Owner, Architect, Engineers, and/or others are not binding and do not change the RFP documents or bidding requirements unless such statements are confirmed by written Addendum to the RFP.

 

Proposals must utilize the specified PROPOSAL FORM and be submitted as a single file (less than 10MB) to BIDS@hoffmancorp.com, no later than 2:00 p.m., February 1, 2024.  There will be a virtual public opening of bids on February 1, 2024 at 2:15 p.m.  Bids will be opened in the presence of the Owner’s Representative.  Bidders may join the public bid opening by CLICKING HERE

A completed Subcontractor/Vendor Questionnaire including latest year-end safety and financial information should be emailed over separately to BIDS@hoffmancorp.com unless previously submitted.  Questionnaire may be attached as a separate file or submitted separately.  Elaborate proposals or the inclusion of non-essential information e.g. marketing/promotional material, safety manuals, resumes, etc. is strongly discouraged.  Proposals that are materially incomplete, are directed to other locations or received after the bid deadline will not be considered.

This project is subject to the Project Labor Agreement entered into between the Port of Seattle and Seattle/King County Building and Construction Trades Council and Northwest Construction Alliance.  The PLA is binding on the Subcontractor and sub-tiers of all levels.  Subcontractors of all tiers must become signatory and bound to the PLA with respect to the subcontracted work.  Subcontractor will be required to execute a Letter of Assent and have all sub-tiers execute a Letter of Assent prior to performing any work on the Project.  Subcontractor shall include all costs for complying with the PLA including labor, wages and benefits, equipment and materials.

Owner and Contractor are committed to promoting and stimulating the growth of disadvantaged business enterprises, minority business enterprises, women business enterprises and veteran owned businesses and maximizing opportunities for these firms to participate in the work of this project.  Subcontractor shall endeavor to utilize such firms through sub-tier contracting and/or material purchases and shall provide documentation of their good faith efforts and achievements.  Goals are 13% WMBE inclusion.
