A Health Care Services Upgrade for Snohomish County
Cascade Valley Hospital
Hoffman completed a 39,000 SF addition featuring new emergency, imaging, kitchen/dietary, laboratory, pharmacy, infusion, and respiratory therapy departments, as well as a new pre-op and PACU. Meanwhile, 49,356 SF of renovations included replacement of existing HVAC services to surgeries, replacement of headwall units in all patient rooms, and build-out of a new administrative space. Relocation of the existing MRI and extensive site redevelopment were a part of the project scope.
Hoffman helped to upgrade and replace the outdated facility serving the people of Snohomish County. We worked closely with the design team and hospital administration to develop the optimum program for the budget, which was provided by a 2006 bond measure. The work included a new front entry, nutritional services, community education, emergency department, outpatient oncology, surgery, sterile processing, administration, and business services. To make way for the replacement building, demolition included the adjacent MRI building, existing front entry and public services, and the 1956 support services and administration wing. The work totaled 38,758 SF for the new building and 49,356 SF of renovation.
