Multi‑Disciplinary Education in the Heart of WWU's Campus

WWU Communications Facility

This 131,000 SF building houses the departments of Computer Science, Physics, Communications, and Journalism. The building is organized into two five-story towers connected by a four-story atrium/lobby. The main tower houses classrooms, two stadium-style seating lecture halls, and physics and chemistry labs.

The other tower provides offices for faculty and administration. The structural steel building has multiple exterior elements, including brick, copper and aluminum panels, curtainwall, and precast concrete. The Communications Facility is the largest single structure ever built at WWU, and involved working on a congested site surrounded by active campus buildings.
