Fab 11

With a field force topping 3200 employees, Hoffman directed a massive undertaking of erecting seven major projects concurrently in the midst of a busy 340-acre campus. The keystone was a 1.4 million SF Fab that provides 160,000 SF of Class 1 cleanroom space. Work also included a 142,300 SF central utility building, a five-level, 480,000 SF office building, the expansion of two existing Fabs, a three-level, 1400 space parking facility, and a support building and warehouse, each with 40,000 SF. Through self-performing concrete, mechanical, and electrical work, Hoffman met an aggressive 16-month schedule, from start of work to chemical readiness. The project also covered over five million hours without a lost time accident.
