Raising the Bar for Sustainable, Class A Office Space

Daimler Trucks Headquarters

Hoffman helps Daimler Trucks accommodate rapid growth with a new North American Headquarters that supports innovation with modern, collaborative work spaces and LEED Platinum susstainability.

To support DTNA’s growth and the addition of approximately 400 new positions in Portland, this 268,000 SF state-of-the-art building supports innovation with modern, collaborative work spaces and conference rooms with sophisticated A/V systems. The office spaces have free access raised floors to provide low voltage and floor plugs. The project achieved LEED Platinum, with features that include radiant heating/cooling, PV array, and a “Living Wall,” an interior vertical wall covered in plants. Hoffman recycled over 95% of demolished materials.

Hoffman self-performed all structural concrete work on the project. To meet a fast-track schedule, we poured a new structural floor plate every five days. With three plates per level, the building rose one story every 15 days. The new headquarters also includes a 1,300-stall, cast-in-place concrete parking garage, which features a solar array on the roof that helps to power the neighboring headquarters building, plus electric charging stations.
