A Multi‑phase Replacement and Upgrade of the Premier Sailing Center in the Northwest

Shilshole Marina

Hoffman performed a multi-phase replacement and upgrade of Shilshole Marina, the premier sailing center of the Northwest. Scope included complete replacement of the docks, piers, buildings, and infrastructure. The project removed more than 1,000 creosote-treated wood piles from the marine environment, replaced these with steel piles, and extended floating docks further west within the main marina. Shilshole Bay Marina provides monthly moorage for 1,500 sailboats and powerboats, guest moorage for more than 100 boats, and dry moorage for 80 vessels. It is also home to a large commercial charter/tour and fishing fleet.
