Rising out of the city’s deepest full block excavation, a unique jump-formed concrete core accelerated construction for this dramatic 27-story structure. The core enabled the structural steel system to be erected quickly and safely. Located in the heart of downtown surrounded by public traffic and light-rail, access and staging were restricted, putting a premium on planning, coordination, and just-in-time deliveries. This 760,000 SF structure provides five levels of underground parking with 465 spaces, two levels of retail space, a 10-screen cinema, and 23 levels of offices. The dramatic façade features stone and custom metal cladding for the podium and a unitized curtainwall system for the tower.
