Office and Retail Space Find a Place in the Pearl District

M Financial Plaza

Part of the Brewery Blocks redevelopment, M Financial Plaza brings retail and office space to the Pearl District.

Through careful selection of construction materials, including brick columns and pre-weathered zinc, M Financial Plaza (formerly Brewery Block Four) adds to the surrounding historical context while offering distinctive modern touches. Named for its anchor tenant, the building houses approximately 27,000 SF of foot-traffic retail space on the ground level, and approximately 243,000 SF of Class A office space on the second through tenth floors. An attractive mix of office and retail space, M Financial Plaza incorporates “green” building practices by integrating photovoltaic panels with its exterior windows, providing much of the energy consumed by the building and its tenants.

When M Financial Group decided to relocate its national headquarters to Portland’s Brewery Blocks, the company wanted a timeless, serene space that would foster collaboration and innovation. The design combines three floors of moving water, natural light and a palette of finishes to create a dynamic office environment that perfectly realizes the company’s vision. The centerpiece feature is a waterfall that cascades down three stories of stainless steel grid in the heart of the space. The project was the recipient of an AIA/IIDA Portland Chapter Honor Award and the People’s Choice Award.
